Stayed here several times in the past, but this visit was the first mid-summer. I have to say, the AC in the room was absolutely NOT up to the task. Was a sweatbox all night long. That being said, I really do like the Anastasia Inn. The owners are very nice people. The location is very convenient...to both downtown and The Amp. And as dated as the place obviously is, it's still relatively clean. I'll defin stay here again, but not in the summer.
Great location, friendly service, clean rooms, and affordable. This is an older motel that has been maintained very well. It's close to the historic district and the beaches. If you don't need all the amenities of a big hotel this is a great place to stay while visiting St. Augustine.
Spent 3 nights here. Dated, but well maintained. Walking distance to Old St. Augustine. Several eateries and local drinking establishments nearby. Expected it to be noisy being close to Anastasia Avenue, but wasn't.
The guy at the front desk during check-in was really nice. The room was comfortable and clean and it was a short walk over the Bridge of Lions to the historic district. A fantastic value compared to most other St Augustine hotels. It was also close to 3 places we visited (The Pub – British themed across the street; Mellow Mushroom – just south; and Candlelight south – just up and across the street.) The price was excellent and we had a great 3 day trip. Definitely a great spot for a reasonable hotel int the best spot.
The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. It's an older accommodation and this reflects in the decor and lower price. Nevertheless we had a good stay.
My wife and I stayed here for a week during nights of lights. We cannot say enough about this place. Its a close walk over the bridge to st geoge st and downtown, but away from the heavy crowds. The management is super friendly and helpful . Its clean , quiet , and inexpensive. We will definitely be staying here again .
I have stayed here several times, booked through Booking.com. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are good sized (I get double bed room). TV, fridge, microwave all modern. Very cozy overall. Small pool, clean and accessible. Good food within walking distance (across the street to few blocks away). Minutes into old St Augustine, or to the beaches.
Great spot close to Downtown St Augustine historic district and in walking distance. Rooms are clean. Pleasant staff. Easy to get in and out. The owner even mailed me back my laptop adapter that I left behind. A++
